Overview

Houndour is a Pokémon that lives in Metropolis and Abyss Biome in Pokerogue. As a dual-attribute Pokémon of the DARK and FIRE types, it shows unique value in matchups with its speed advantage and diverse move pool. It can serve a variety of roles such as a quick attacker, status disruptor, or special wall breaker. Traits such as Early Start and Fire Draw enhance its tactical flexibility, while the hidden trait Defiant offers the possibility of counterattacks against the odds, and Houndour’s attribute combinations and tactical versatility allow it to remain useful in specific strategies, especially as an opening scout or doubles support.

Abilities
1. Early Bird – Can accelerate recovery from sleep twice as fast as other Pokémon. The duration of sleep is halved and rounded down. For example, a sleep state that lasts 3 turns actually lasts only 1 turn. When sleep only lasts 1 turn, the Pokémon will wake up from sleep immediately because half of 1 is rounded down to 0. 2. Flash Fire – When struck by a Fire-type move, this trait activates immediately, making the Pokémon completely immune to the damage of that attack, including the hidden power of the Fire-type. Not only that, but it also enhances the Pokémon’s own Fire-type move, increasing its power by 1.5 times. This gain effect lasts for the entire battle. It’s worth noting that even non-damaging Fire-type moves such as Will-O-Wisp can trigger this trait. For Pokémon that are already Fire-attributed, Will-O-Wisp activates the trait but does not inflict burn damage, while for non-Fire-type Pokémon, Will-O-Wisp activates the trait as well as inflicting the burn status normally. 3. Unnerve (Hidden Ability) – In battle, make your opponent’s Pokémon feel uneasy and unable to use the Berries in their possession, completely losing the opportunity to utilize the berries.

How to evolve:

Houndour → Houndoom: Evolution by leveling up.The evolution process is automatic. That is, as soon as your Houndour reaches level 24, it will immediately evolve into a Houndoom.You can level up your Houndour through battles or by using props such as experience candies.
Houndoom → Mega Houndoom: You will need to find Houndoominite to super evolve. During the battle, when Houndoom is holding Houndoominite, you can select the Super Evolution option so that Houndoom will evolve into Mega Houndoom during the battle. PS: when the battle is over, the Super Evolution effect will be lifted and Houndoom will revert back to its normal form.
