PokeRogue Stage Challenges
In PokeRogue, you’ll go through a series of different stages where you’ll have to fight against wild Pokémon, trainers, or powerful bosses. Usually it’s in the form of wild battles, but you can encounter Trainers anywhere at any time. When you encounter a powerful Boss, it means that it’s to the end of the PokeRogue Biome system as well as Legendary matchups.
Before you take on a wild Pokémon, you have the opportunity to strategize and adjust your Pokémon lineup to your opponent. This flexibility is important because the attribute adjustments you make to your Pokémon will remain the same when fighting in the wild! However, when battling a Trainer, your team lineup will be locked and any Attribute gain or loss effects will reset before the battle begins. Trainer battles will test your knowledge that their Pokémon will prioritize super-effective moves and will switch to take advantage of attribute advantages. In contrast, wild Pokémon have more unpredictable attack patterns that rely on randomly selected skills.
Facing Challengers and Rewards
During your journey in PokeRogue, you will meet a variety of challengers, especially on specific stages 8, 25, 55, etc., where you will encounter the main opponent.
Upon defeating this opponent, you’ll be rewarded with an experience amulet and an experience sharing prop. These props distribute a portion of the experience value you gain in battle to the other Pokémon on your team. After defeating these leaders or bosses, your entire party will be healed and you’ll receive amulets that increase your Pokémon’s experience value. On top of that, defeating the PokeRogue Dojo Master will also reward you with an Egg Ticket for a special Pokémon.
