Pokerogue September 1, 2024 Running History Update!

On September 1, 2024, PokéRogue received a major update, which not only introduced new gameplay mechanics, but also overhauled the Egg move for Generation 9 Pokémon. To celebrate this milestone, the game also launched a special Triple Flash event to encourage players to actively participate in capturing new Pokémon. The core of this update is to enhance the player’s gaming experience by optimizing moves and features to make battles more diverse and challenging. With the addition of new content, the world of PokéRogue will come to life and players will have the opportunity to explore more tactical combinations and strategies. Let’s start PokéRogue!

Major Updates

1. Run History.

Players can now save up to 25 run histories per device. This feature allows players to easily track their progress and performance, making it easy to review and analyze previous game strategies at any time.

2. New Challenge – Inverse Battle!

The update introduces a new challenge mode called “Inverse Battle”, which provides players with an enhanced combat experience. In this mode, players will face higher difficulties and more complex tactical demands, motivating them to constantly improve their skills.

3. Battle against new villains.

Players will have the opportunity to battle against new villains such as Lusamine and Chairman Rose. These villainous characters not only have unique skills and fighting styles, but will also test the player’s strategy and resilience, adding more challenges and fun to the game.

Minor Updates

1. New Audio Settings.

The new Audio Settings feature allows players to more finely customize their gaming experience. Through the Settings menu, players can adjust the volume of music, sound effects, and speech to suit their personal preferences.

2. Store Cursor Default Position.

In Settings > Display, players can now choose the default position of the store cursor. This feature makes the shopping experience smoother and allows players to find what they are looking for faster, saving time and increasing efficiency.

3. Vouchers in Achievements.

With the update, players will be able to find vouchers in the Achievements system, which provides clear feedback for completing specific tasks and challenges.

4. Improved Type-Effectiveness Indicator.

Improvements have been made that now accurately represent type-changing moves and abilities, such as Hidden Power and Pixelation. This change is particularly important for engaging in Inverse Battles, allowing players to better understand how different types interact with each other and thus develop more effective tactics.

5. Endless Plains Cycle ends.

The Endless Plains cycle has ended in Endless mode. Now, players will drop to a random biome after defeating an Endless biome boss. This change adds to the unpredictability of the game and the fun of exploration, making every adventure feel fresh.

6. Gigantamax Forms Rebalancing.

The Gigantamax Forms has been rebalanced and now has new abilities and attributes. This rebalancing makes the Megaforms more versatile in battle, and players will need to reevaluate their strategies to take full advantage of these new features.

7. Partner Eevee and G-Max Eevee.

Partner Eevee and G-Max Eevee can now use their signature moves, which provides players with more tactical options.

8. Biome, TMs and Egg Movement Updates.

Changes to the movement of Biomes, TMs (Technical Machines) and Eggs have been made, bringing new challenges and opportunities to the game. Players will need to adapt to these changes in order to remain competitive in an evolving environment.

9. Sprites and Icons Updates.

Finally, sprites and icons have been updated to enhance the visuals and user experience.

Implementation, Changes and Fixes

1. Moves Updates.

  • The Dark Void Generation 6 skill has been confirmed to have a hit rate of 80%.
  • The Zippy Zap skill has now been restored to its performance in Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!
  • Fixed several bugs that were affecting the gameplay experience, including issues with skills such as
  • Destiny Bond, Decoration, Lunar Blessing, Gravity, and Jaw Lock.
  • In double battles, damage calculations for single attacks are now handled correctly.

2. Abilities Updates.

  • The weather forecasting system is now live.
  • Fixed bugs affecting Moody, Disguise and Pixilate (and other similar features).

Quality of Life Updates

1. A number of improvements to the Starter Select UI.

The initial selection screen has been optimized to make the player’s experience of selecting a Pokémon smoother and more intuitive.

2. IV Scanner Visual Improvements.

When using the old UI mode, the IV Scanner’s visuals have been improved to enhance the readability and ease of use of the information.

3. Skip Final Boss Encounter Dialog.

Players now have the option to skip the encounter dialog with the Final Boss, saving time and improving the pacing of the game.

4. Eliminated inconsistent menu behavior.

Fixed inconsistent menu behavior during gameplay to ensure more uniform and smooth operation.

5. Fixed the error of life value acquisition after Pokémon evolution.

Fixed the issue of Pokémon not being able to correctly obtain life value after evolution, and made other miscellaneous bug fixes to improve the overall game experience.
